I use wwwthreds inside a password protected folder that uses htacces file to allow users in
I would like that the board will only acces usernames in that files, or that it would automatically ad the usernames and passwords in that file so members do not have ot register twice...
My main problem is that I do not want people to be using more than one username
One fee = one username
But people just get in an register as many accounts as e-mail address they can get...

Any solution, and we are willing to pay a programmer, will do... perhaps making the board the main entry to our password protected folder...

Any suggestion?

I did this for my site about 5 or 6 months ago and it took some deep tweaking. I'm using the perl version but it should work similarly for the PHP. Also, I don't know what type of billing system you have or which third party system you're using so this might be slightly different on your end.

When a new user joins my site, a perl script is hit which writes the users info to the .htpasswd file. I tweaked this script to also write to the wwwthreads member database. I use the new members username for the wwwthreads username and password. (note: I also have code to remove the users wwwthreads account when they are removed from the .htpasswd file)

Now, in the wwwthreads scripts, I removed the ability for users to edit their password, and fixed the login/logout pages so that the username and password fields are hidden fields that contain the environmental variable for their username.

Even with all this tweaking, it's only made it more convenient in that a user only needs to click the "board login" button once they've logged into the members area. I'm currently working on setting the user login to wwwthreads as soon as they enter the members front page but I've run into a couple snags. Posted a message over on the perl forum but haven't gotten a reply.

Note to Rick: I feel that wwwthreads has the potential to become more of an entire website content management system. You've already separated out the data layer (which is what brought me to wwwthreads to begin with), it would be nice to also see the application and presentation layers more separated.
